A monthly gathering to write together outside in the mystical forests of the Redwoods.(more about the Redwood Forest here)
Take your writing ‘outside’ and into nature and explore how where you are can help shape what and how you write.
We approach these sessions with a sense of exploration. I will guide you in a short mindfulness practice followed by a combination of writing prompts and free writing time.
You don’t need to share your words. You don’t need to be ‘a writer’, you just need to be open and willing to find your magic in this amazing natural wonder.
See this as a time of self-nourishment where you tune in to all that nature can bring to your creativity. These forests command a sense of wonder and delight that may infuse our writing with ideas and energy you never thought possible.
Bring walking shoes, pillows/comfort for your bum, attire for all conditions and whatever you choose to write with.
We will be wifi free (we won’t get mobile reception) but connected in other ways!
Cost: $45 per person.
We will commence at 10 am and finish at 12.30pm.
Sessions run for 2.5 hours.
I will hold these once a month on the 4th Friday. (From April 27)
We will meet at the gate and walk in together to find ‘our place’.
Warburton is 10 minutes away and a perfect place to have a great coffee or a bite of lunch after we have finished. More about Warburton here.
Please note that while the Redwood Forest is a public place there are no public conveniences. You can access toilets at the East Warburton public hall just before the Cement Creek turnoff.
Let’s get lush and wordy outside!
